ミスター・ピグが香り高いモミの木を愛おしそうに撫でていました。「この木はちょっとおてんばさんだな。でも、それがまたいい」彼の手にかかれば、どんな木もまるで舞台に立つ役者のように、個性を輝かせるツリーへと変わるのです。

Mr. Pig was tenderly stroking the fragrant fir tree. “This tree’s a bit of a tomboy. But that’s part of its charm.” In his hands, any tree transforms into a tree that shines with its own unique personality, just like an actor on stage.

ルチアが古い木箱を開けています。中には何年も前のオーナメントたち。「これは、あの年の雪が初めて積もった日のツリーに使ったもの……」彼女の細やかな手は、過去と現在をつなぐ“時間の宝石”を、ひとつひとつ磨き上げていきます。
Under the light of a small lamp,
Lucia is opening an old wooden box. Inside are ornaments from years ago. “This is the one I used on the tree the first day it snowed that year…” Her delicate hands carefully polish each of these “jewels of time,” which bridge the past and the present.

メルリーノが柔らかな布を広げながら、色の調和を確かめていました。「今年はこの淡いグリーンと、夜空みたいなブルーを組み合わせよう。」彼女の布選びはまるで詩を編むよう。
In the next room,
Merlino was spreading out soft fabrics, checking how the colors harmonized. “This year, I’ll combine this pale green with a blue that looks like the night sky.” The way she chose her fabrics was like weaving a poem.

バルドが静かに作業を始めていました。 彼はアトリエで生まれたデコレーションたちを、精緻な計画に基づいて大きなツリーに配置して完璧に形にしていきます。

Bardo had quietly begun his work. He arranged the decorations created in the studio onto the large tree according to a meticulous plan, shaping them into a perfect form.

一年中クリスマスな私たちの想い
クリスマスツリーはつくる人によって千差万別、無限の世界です。ウキウキしながら広げる枝葉、静かな気持ちで広げる枝葉、それだけでも枝向きが違ってきたり、仕上がりの形状も面白いほど変わってきます。
またオーナメントも1年振りに出すと「あの時買ったオーナメント！」「こんなオーナメントもあった！」など1年の最後に楽しい思い出を振り返れる、そんな時間も楽しみのひとつ。 クリスマスツリーをつくることは、ちょっとしたオブジェをつくる気分です。毎年広げるツリーを、この時期にプチ造形家に変身して「ツリーをつくる」時間ごと楽しめる、そんな楽しい時間。クリスマスツリーをつくればつくるほど夢が広がる、創造の世界です。
そんな想いを元に、私たちはクリスマスを専門に、大きなツリーからオーナメントまで、デザイン、製作をしています。

Everyday is the Festive Season
Christmas trees are a world of infinite possibilities, varying greatly depending on who decorates them. Whether you spread the branches with excitement or with a calm heart, even that alone can change the way the branches are arranged, and the final shape ends up changing in fascinating ways.
Also, when you take out the ornaments after a year, you might exclaim, “That’s the ornament I bought back then!” or “I didn’t even know I had this one!”—it’s a chance to look back on happy memories at the end of the year, and that moment is part of the joy. Putting up a Christmas tree feels a bit like creating a small work of art. Every year, as you set up the tree, you can transform into a mini-sculptor during this season and enjoy every moment of “creating the tree.” It’s a delightful time. The more Christmas trees you create, the more your dreams expand—it’s a world of creativity.

グラフィックデザイン（平面）とクリスマスデコレーション（立体構造物）のふたつを軸に、2016年にFranna株式会社を設立しました。空間ごとの物語性を大切にしながら、商業施設、ブランドショップ、企業空間におけるクリスマス演出を手掛けるほか、オリジナルオーナメントのデザイン・制作も行っています。
クラフトの温度感と親近感があるけれど、すっきりとしたシンプルな表現を特徴としています。

In 2016, she established Franna Co., Ltd., focusing on two core areas: graphic design (two-dimensional) and Christmas decorations (three-dimensional structures).
While placing great importance on the narrative of each space, she creates Christmas displays for commercial facilities, brand shops, and corporate spaces, as well as designing and producing original ornaments.
Her work is characterized by a clean, simple aesthetic that retains the warmth and approachability of handcrafted items.

My Little Story
ツリーデコレーターという造語
私がツリーデコレーターになっていくはじまりは、母がコレクションしていたクリスマスオーナメント一式をもらったことでした。母は一見控えめな印象ですが、情熱的でパワフル、ユニークな人物で私のNO.1ファンでもあります。父は父で荒野を見せに私たち姉妹をアメリカへ1ヶ月も連れて行きました。子供心に、何故荒野？と思いましたが、今となってはあの絶景や空気が私を作る要素の一つでした。
そんな両親に育てられた私が最初に「つくった」クリスマスツリーは小学生の時。母の指揮のもと、私たち姉妹は100羽以上の折鶴を千代紙で折り、我が家のモミの木にデコレーションしました。モミの木サイズにあわせ、千代紙の裁断から始める徹底ぷり。完成時母は「和風クリスマス！」と大満足そうでしたが、私たち姉妹は何日間も鶴を折り続けヘトヘトだったことをよく覚えています。
多感な学生の頃には、クリスマスツリーづくりやオーナメント収集は秘密の趣味でした。理由は印象が乙女で恥ずかしかったから。今とは違い「多様性」なんて言葉やamazonがない時代に各国のオーナメントを集め、文化を調べ、クリスマスシーズンになるとクリスマスムードが溢れるアメリカへよく通いました。この頃ニューヨークのデコレーションにインスピレーションを受け、私だけのクリスマスツリーを模索し始めました。
社会人になり選んだ職業はグラフィックデザイナー。形と色の関係や組合わせを考えることが好きな私には自然な流れでした。結果として形状、配色、バランスなどの感覚が鍛えられ「クリスマスツリーをデザインする」という考え方に到りました。感覚だけで作るのではなく（それも楽しい）「クリスマスツリーはデザインし設計する！」とより楽しめると気づきました。デザイン事務所での仕事の傍らクリスマスツリーのデザインや製作をして、この時期にNataleとしてオンラインショップでツリーの販売を始めました。そして、はじめてオーダーをいただき無事に納品ができて感激した日から、いろいろなご縁を経て一人で作っていたツリーはいつの間にか仲間ができ、育ち始めました。
オーナメントをデザインしたり、コーディネートを考え出す私はデザイナー。それらをデコレーションするのはデコレーターの私。そこには誰かが作った素敵なオーナメントもインスピレーションの元。 一緒に組み合わせたらどうなるだろう！と考えるとワクワクが止まらないものです。こんな流れを経てツリーデコレーターの私が出来上がっていきました。この呼び方がツリーを作る私にはしっくりきます。
日本のクリスマスの良い点は、宗教観を超えて季節の風物詩として「家族で、みんなで楽しめる」点です。ツリーを飾ることで身近な人と人を繋ぐ「楽しいコト」のツール。クリスマスツリーは寒い冬に豊かさや幸せを再確認する幸せの象徴のひとつだと思っています。Nataleのツリーやオーナメントが楽しい瞬間を彩るツールのひとつになるよう願いを込めて。「愛のある」クリスマスツリーを1年をかけて製作しています。
