心願成就

僧侶・達磨がモチーフの縁起物。願い事をして目を描く慣わしがあります。目入れには、心の目の開眼や入魂という意味があると考えられています。左目を描き入れて祈願し、願い事が叶ったときに感謝を込めて、右目も描き入れる、ユニークな縁起物です。

Wish Fulfillment

This lucky charm is inspired by the Daruma monk. In Japanese tradition, you draw in the left eye of a Daruma doll when making a wish, and the right eye when that wish comes true. The left eye symbolizes opening your heart and putting your soul into the wish, while the right eye represents gratitude. The Daruma is a unique Japanese good-luck charm.

長寿祈願

長寿祈願めでたい：幸せを感じている、祝うべき様子鯛は長生きな魚で、それにあやかり長寿祈願の象徴です。「めでたい」の語呂合わせとして「めで鯛」と言われています。姿は赤く身が白いことから「紅白」を持ち合わせた縁起物とされています。

Medetai – A symbol of happiness and celebration. The sea bream (tai) represents longevity and good health. The word medetai means “auspicious” and plays on the word tai. With its red and white coloring – traditional colors of celebration in Japan – it’s a lucky charm for festive occasions.

愛らしいポーズで福を手招いてくれる縁起物。上げている手の左右によって御利益が違うと言われています。右手を上げているとお金招き、左手を上げていると人(客)を招きの縁起物とされています。幸福と繁栄の愛らしい縁起物です。

Wealth & Prosperity

This lucky charm is called a “Maneki-neko” or “Beckoning Cat” known for its adorable pose. It is said to bring good fortune, with different meanings depending on which paw is raised. The right paw invites wealth, while the left paw invites people or guests. It’s a cute and iconic symbol of luck, wealth, and prosperity.

日本で生まれた"小さな福"

〈Japonica〉のオーナメントは、もともと日本のどこかで、ひっそり息をしていた「福のかたち」。遠い国のクリスマスツリーには、ロンドンの赤いバスや、大きな時計台のように、その土地の思い出が小さな飾りになって、枝先に揺れています。

日本を旅した人たちが手にする“日本モチーフのオーナメント”は、お寿司や醤油さし…楽しいけれど、わたしたちから見るとまだ「日本らしさ」の想いや文化まではうまく伝わっていない気がするのです。「日本の“福（Good Luck Charm）”を形にたい」その想いが、〈Japonica〉のはじまりです。

クリスマススピリットと日本の福。姿かたちは違っても、どちらも「誰かの幸せを願う気持ち」から生まれたもの。

「めでたい気持ちは、国を越えるよ」日本らしく日本を伝える、小さな“福”の〈Japonica〉です。

Born in Japan, a Little Blessing

The ornaments of “Japonica” were once quiet shapes of good fortune, resting somewhere in Japan.

On Christmas trees far from here, you can find tiny ornaments—like London’s red buses or tall clock towers—swaying at the tips of the branches, each holding a memory of its homeland.

Visitors to Japan often take home ornaments shaped like sushi or soy sauce bottles. They’re fun, but to us, they don’t quite express the deeper spirit and culture of Japan.

We wanted to shape Japan’s true “good luck charms” and share them with the world. This wish became the beginning of Japonica.

The Christmas spirit and Japan’s spirit of good fortune may look different, but both are born from the same place—a wish for someone’s happiness. Japonica was created to bring these two gentle feelings together.
